80's Ludwig Quad-Modular (Maybe?) Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Hello all. I'm new to the forum and was wondering if anyone could help me identify this Ludwig set. In a roundabout way, I inherited this 7 piece set and unfortunately have not received a solid answer from collectors in my area as to the specific model and worth of what I have.

I'm used to playing a 4 piece Bop set, so 6 toms is a little overwhelming for me and I don't have the space to keep it. The sizes are 8", 10", 13", and 14" rack toms, 16" and 18" floor toms and 24" Bass. Drums have the blue & olive badge. If I consult the 1982 catalog, the sizes match up with the "Quad-Modular" set, but I've been told that it may be a "Quadra-Tom" style kit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've been offered a really wide range of offers so some solid footing would be nice. I've attached 3 photos of the actual kit.

Looks more like a "Quadra-Tom" to me, just without the second hanging floor tom.

At first I thought it was a Quadra-Tom as well because of the picture in the catalog, but the size description listed of the Quadra-tom is different then what I measured and does not include the second suspended 18" tom that I have. The dimensions listed under the Quad-Modular match my set but the typed description and picture is off.

Maybe they mislabeled the pictures?

Lots of people ordered kits that had specific sizes as opposed to the standard offerings in the catalogs. As an example, there may have been a different kick drum size, additional toms, etc. That may account for te discrepancies.

Yeah, I think the photos were switched in the catalog, looking at the sizes and descriptions. Good spot. I see dozens of examples of poor proofreading and layout in modern catalogs, not unusual to see it back then either.
