http://allentown.craigslist.org/msg/3309693361.html

here's a link to some pictures.

DW pre-Collector Series drum set in a natural finish. This sale is for the drums only. The bass drums, the floor tom with legs, and the rack tom with an aftermarket hanging bracket. These are Keller Shell drums that were manufactured for the DW company in the 90's. These drums are pre-serial number and are not stamped for musical notation. The interior shells have a dark finish. Im mot sure that the finish on the inside of the drums is original. But they are beautiful. The overall condition of these drums are excellent. The bearing edges are all solid and true. The shells are in great shape. The chrome is a 98% with a few spots of checking. The sizes of these drums are bass/18x22, floor/14x16, rack/10x12. All the shells are all maple 3 ply maple with 3 ply reinforcement rings. Im asking $1200 plus shipping or best offer. Feel free to ask any questions you might have about the kit. I can also send you more pics of the kit per request.

Thanks for your interest.

Jeff - That 'looks like' a mahogany interior ply! Look at the bearing edge and see if the inside layer is uniformly dark. If it's light colored, it's stained maple, if the inner ply is dark, then it's likely mahogany. Some of the best sounding vintage shells have a 3-ply mahogany/poplar/maple lay-up. That's what you may have there. If so, it makes them all the more desirable as a drum set.

Best of luck with your sale, Beautiful kit.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

From Drummer84

Johnny what are the sizes of the goldy's?

They are 8x12,9x13,16x16,14x22, all drums except the floor tom are dated March 26,1971, all drums have 3ply shells with clear interiors. If you're really interested, please let me know today, because I was planning on taking them to Rockin Robin in Houston to try to work out a trade for a Camco kit, thanks.
