A piece of vintage Ludwig Last viewed: 4 hours ago

Hi to All,

I thought all of you would enjoy this. I found it at a garage sale in with a bunch of albums. It’s a Ludwig Album that has 13 rudiments on one side and 9 drum solos on the back. The neat thing is that the drum parts on the album are played by William F. Ludwig Sr., William F. Ludwig Jr, and two other gentleman J. Burns Moore and Edward Straight.

The album was put out by the WFL Drum Company 1728 Damen Ave. Chicago Ill. The really neat thing is the album is in super shape and plays great! I guess this would be the first instructional, pre VHS and DVD recording program.. The students at the clinics will love it.! Anyone have any history on it?

I had one of these as well. I think they were made in the early-mid 50's. I would have kept mine but I ended up giving it to Bill Ludwig III. He had said he had a copy someone made for him but I thought he should have an original. I would love to find another one someday...

Oh yeah! Please turn that into mp3's!

If you aren't sure how, I'll walk you through it. If that wont work, someone please do, or send the record to me and I'll do it and return it along with the copy.
