Ok, so sadly my Step-father passed away on new years day.

I will miss him. He put drum sticks in my hands way back when I was 2 years old.

Anyway I will be brining home his set of old Autotune's in the coming day's. They are all single headed 22" 12" 13" 16" in Black wrap. They are the wood shelled with Reinforcement hoops variety.

I'm not sure what to do with them. But in the meantime does anyone on here have an interest in these. love or hate them etc? They're different thats for sure.

Actually on a side note, I also have his English Rogers 7 line Dyna with it's original Besson music warranty card!

Yeah I had a search earlier but apart from a selling thread and a thread that concluded a set were used on an Austin Powers film there's not much I can find. One nugget I found was they date 1974-75, and are fitted with Rogers hardware and thats about it. They are indeed clearly super rare.

I MIGHT part with them simply because of room. We'll see.

Sorry to hear about your father. Personally I would keep the drums. You can always find room somewhere for them :)

My regrets.

I would hold on to them. Some background stuff:

Sorry for your loss.. Sounds like a great guy.. They're really unique drums, and the sentimental value is enough to keep them in your collection.. I would keep them just for that reason..

Thanks guys. Yeah I'll see what they're like with new heads on. Maybe they'll open up a bit. Right now they have than dank bonk sound with the original heads. Being single headed that will always be the case, but I'll be able to nest them somewhere in a corner.

I'm not really a collector i only keep drums I like to play, and I like having a few kits to keep me inspired and to bring different kits to sessions etc. Maybe the day will come when they'll fit something.
