Tommy, thanks for the info and documentation. 3 years is a pretty wide timeframe as you get used to looking at them all the time. Like you said it's hard to notice until the shade was much more obvious. Still a very beautiful kit and like you said it's about the sound. I do like the mellowed WMP it is now too.

Dang TommyP, I remember that original thread when you made the discovery ... it hurt to see 'em then and it hurts to see 'em now. I know how much that must have ripped the gut. Several years ago, I ruined a very near mint Ludwig kit in my total ignorance. I flat out didn't know the effects of a particular cleaner on a wrap. I do now! It pulled the color from it and faded the snot out of it. Man, it sickened me when I realized what I had done. Oh well ... we live and learn brother. We live and learn.
