Before everyone here ends up totally demented.. I think you should undo the rim & take off the head.. lay everything on a table and post a pic of all of the parts that you have..

Cheers

Shakey, welcome to the forum!

Going by your posts & the photo you've shown, the thing you need is a batter head. Don't let anyone sell you a "silver rim or hoop". That part (as shown in your photo and the photo of a silver sparkle snare drum) is a part of the head that you will get. They come already assembled. I don't know what rim, or hoop, or ring, or whatever the person selling you is talking about (& I would question whether they do), but trust me the head will have the hoop you need attached.

Keep us posted on your progress & feel free toask questions. I think those drums will make a neat little outfit.

All you need to do is buy a 14" batter head for the drum. It will have the rim and you already have the hoop so that's all you need barring tension rods as we don't know if you have them all. Here's a picture of a head that is not installed. The head shown is a Remo Ambassador. It would be a fine choice for your snare unless you have something else in mind but this is all you need to close your drum up.

In case anyone was wondering, yes I am using only my mind to make the head levitate.
