that is correct, my wife is fluent in Spanish and helped with communication and this guys wife is from England so we have been in communication, and he owns a restaurant it could be in the airport, sounds right... if this is legitimate its the holy grail of blue notes as far as pristine goes....but I will not pay for anything upfront so if he goes with my freight co. then I am in good hands I have worked with them before....

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

That ad has been there for almost 3 years, since Jan 2012. There are other sets on that website that I know for sure are scams, such as the Jazzette kit and Billy Cobham set.

This one has all the red flags, for sure. If they are fighting you on using anything other than their own escrow and/or shipping terms, it's because there are no drums.

BUT, I hope it ends up being a real set, it's beautiful!

Here's a good test - have them text or email one photo of any of the drums, holding up today's newspaper, or in front of a computer screen showing a current news website. Don't send a single dollar to anyone until they can do this.

Sounds like you knew this though, and have yourself covered. Good luck!

it is what it is, if you look back on ebay there was one that looks like same kit, they were asking 4900 and it never sold but if that is a real kit its a 5 k kit but then if real they would be asking 1700 euros

Someone knows what he sells (but did a poor translation from english to spanish), model names are accurate. From Europe point of view, and my experience with buying kits, 1700EUR for such set is red light warning. You have to spend for example ca. 1200-1500EUR for super classic kit in good condition.

Was thinking the same thing. A kit like this in Europe would have been long gone at 2500€ months ago, IMO
