Ok guys another P/I/T/A ebayer...What to do? The story they won another cymbal that i had listed. The auction ended on March 9th.They paid on the 13th...I shipped it the 20th.In my listing my handling time is 5 business days.Estimated time till you have the item is 7-8 business days in the U.S..He opens a case for item not received on march 23..I replyed on the 24th to the case saying that the item was shipped out on the 20th and give the tracking number. He leaves me Neg feeback on the 25th saying it was 8 days before i shipped the cymbal dont buy from the seller....Oh i forgot to say they are in GERMANY.Almost makes me feel that GERMANY will be not a place that i will ship to anymore...So my question is should i open a case about the feedback? The case he open is still open even after my reply to the case..Oh i forgot to say they placed a bid on another item i have listed but i removed his bid and added them to my block bidder list.....Mikey

I've never shipped to Germany, but have to several other countries. Always USPS International Flat Rate. The only problem I've had is that once the package leaves the USA, the tracking number is basically useless. However, it will be "tracked" until it leaves the US. So, as long as you can provide the information that you have kept to your end on the terms, eBay will remove the negative feedback.

I always post that I don't do "International Shipping." So, whenever I do it's only been because someone has contacted me before the auction is ended and specifically asked me to ship to them. I usually will, but always clarify with the potential buyer the longer-than-usual shipping times and get them to tell me they understand that.

A follow up on this..Ebay told me that the feedback will stay they will not remove it.The case is still open on Apr.2 iam still waiting for the member to reply. So i move the case to the next step iam waiting for ebay to clear the case. Now it will take to the 21st. of this month before the money is open back to my P/P account thats how long they give the other member to reply to case,if they don't then i get my money from the sale..Mikey

Block that bidder for the future.

International sales are always a pain, just from the standpoint of time alone.

I have not sold anything on ebay in a few years now, mainly because of the onesided idiotic unfairness towards sellers that ebay gravitated towards that allows buyers to get away with practically anything. I think it was a much friendlier marketplace in the early 2000s than it is now.

Well Mikey.

People are very impatient when it comes to waiting.

That's seven days before you shipped after payment. Plus the travel time.

I always ship within 24 hours unless the sale ends on a Saturday or Sunday.

I hope it works out for you. Years ago when my son and I still sold on ebay he sold a guitar and a few parts to a guy in Puerto Rico. Packed very well, insured and tracked etc..... there was a hurricane there and the guitar was supposedly lost. Guy left him a neg even after he was paid back in full. UPS claimed a "Act of God" and wouldn't cover the insurance claim. It's wasn't a real expensive guitar but $1400 total for it and the parts. Total loss and that ended our ebay and paypal days for good.

I almost never use UPS anymore. I did occasionally, but my own experience with an item I bought off eBay and the subsequent handling of the claim by UPS when the item was damaged has soured my taste for them.

As far as I'm considered, USPS is my number one. I had to file one claim with them, and it was so smooth and effortless, with no questions asked because item was tracked and disappeared. UPS can kiss my butt.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Hey Mikey, Was the buyers name Aldebaran by chance? I had him do the same thing to me. Ebay gave him the refund from my account and he left me negative feedback too.

I believe that using EBAY, regularly, falls under the proverbial wanting to eat the cake, and have it too.

You will never be able to use EBAY as a regular selling place, and not have some customers who want to try and beat you out of something. Both are not possible to exist in this realm. Money is involved. That is the sure-fire end all to any arguements. Once money is involved, there will be schemes. Period.

However, if someone does figure out how to regularly sell stuff on EBAY and never have a crooked customer or one with a few wires loose, please then look into that eating the cake thing, for me, so that I could possibly have a neverending supply of cake!
