Hello,
Was just wondering specifically about the 75th anniversary drums.
I have 2 sets from that period in Mahogany. Large Keystone badge with Chicago on it.
The 84 Ludwig catalog has 3 Natural colors in it.
I know the Maple is usually considered the "Thermogloss" color.
Was just wondering if all the Natural Colors were Thermogloss?
The 3 listed were Maple Wood, Mahogany Wood and Natural Walnut.
Also was wondering about the plies.
I know they were 6 ply but are all the outer plys Maple with it being stained the colors listed or are they actual specific wood plies of the 3 colors?
Ex: Maple = maple ply, Mahogany = Mahogany ply ...
And is that considered an extra ply or part of the 6 ply makeup?
Thanks
Wayne
