My wife might go to work for me doing just this. Well that and taking care of our little one and one on the way. We like to go looking for antiques and with modern technology she can just shoot me pictures of anything she finds instantly.

Yep, teamwork is the key! (with kids and the drums! lol)

Very early on in my drum collecting career I found a nice Geisler snare drum in an antique store. Never found another in an antique store in over 20 years looking. (Other than the usual overpriced wall hanger marching drum.)

I did once take out a classified ad (remember them ?) in an antique collectors' magazine and someone sent me a box full of drum catalogs from the '20s - '40s.
