From Gary N

yes some minor parts are missing. A "vintage" dealer would sell/ask for that drum, if original pearl, original bearing edges and no extra holes or cracks in the finish, $4K-6,500. 6.5 wood Dynas are rare beasts- esp. early B+B lug ones. If original, place on feebay for 3k and watch it sell in 1 hour.See pic of the COB drum to compare I picked up yest. at the Lawton PA drum show. It is in the 1130s range on the Dyna badge. Right on Nutbox!Man, I have to start buying acrolites on craigslist. lol. Get that thang!

Gary, i remember seeing that 6.5 last year at the PA show. I also recall a killer price. :) I picked up the matching little sister from the same seller.. 5" gretsch shell

Chris, So you are the one that grabbed that 5" flat shell. The seller of both is a fine Rogers original drummer. Getting his beavertail red onyx set new in 1963. Those 2 flat shell snares have been for sale for years at that PA show. It was a dangerous drive home but glad to bring Mr. Lawton a canister throne to repair as well as see familiar faces that liked to discuss old Rogers. Couldn't resist walking away from that 6.5 one more year and had to make an offer before trying to beat the weather out the door. 3 1/2 hrs to get there. Spent 1 1/2 hrs chatting it Rogers up. Then 5 hr slow drive home. Saw accidents on both sides of the trnpke both ways. Cars and truck large and small. Glad I am back safe and the new arrival goes well with the other flat shell oddities found this year. Also nice to know the throne is in the best hands for a proper restoration-Mr. Jack Lawton. Eat some candy...BOO!
