I bring the wife up here for a couple days, Canadian side, to watch fireworks and eat some good grub over the 4th. We caught two live acts in the casino last night, and tonight, and figured it wouldn't hurt to ask if any members were banging on the skins up here. I know we have a good many Canadian members.

Dan, was one of the acts you saw a guy named Marty Murray? (Acoustic guitar/sings) Marty is a long time friend of mine and he gigs at the casino's, bars and clubs all over the Canadian side of the falls. Good guy, talented, hope he was one of the people you heard.

Was a blast. We missed Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert by one freaking day at the hotel restaraunt.......We ate up there the night before they did, according to someone from the hotel. My wife would have loved whatever cool factor she could contrive of eating at the same restaraunt as them, although it would have been a fight when I told her to quit being a tourist before she embarrassed me and harassed them.....lol
Anywho, had fun and the 4th of July fireworks over the falls are something to see, that's for sure!

No Marty Murray. It was Stone The Radio at the casino and another band somewhere else that I can't remember the name of. STR was solid, it was evident they have been doing it awhile, together or otherwise, before getting together. Their drummer played behind a glass shield, the stage was pretty small, and I didn't want to be "that guy" standing up close looking between the singer and guitarist to get a proper look at his kit....lol.
Next year during the 4th, I will post this BEFORE we go up there so I can have an inkling of who to look for!
