just found this pic of one of mine in action. this one is on the ludwig galaxy clubdates..you might notice some moleskin pad that i have adhered to the mount. i also have one under the hoop to protect the finish.

Do I play with a hoop mount tom? Yes, on my '49 Leedy kit. Works just fine.

Do I or would I play vintage drums with a RIMS mount? Never.

nah...lots of people say that. just look at how long they used them though. some of the big band and swing drummers could really wail too!!

I will install one of these to help with slipping.Pearl makes them.

Where did you find that? My 40's bass was drilled for a W&A consolette at some point which I might try. But have been thinking about the original hoop mount instead.

Its actually a drum hoop saver for a kick pedal... The work great for that too.. All I ever use...

I entered "clipper" tom-tom mount on EbA and all I get are pictures from the LA Clippers basket ball team.Even a few from when they were in San Diego.Whats this EbA coming to? haha
