I just wrapped a kit with it 2 days ago. It was surprisingly easy, once you get the method down (making sure it is tight and straight). The guy who has the drums now is very happy with them. I did the Pink Champagne Sparkle. My only complaints would be a. the color was more pink than his pictures appeared and b. I'd personally prefer larger glitter flakes. Otherwise, not a bad result. Here's a look:

Thanks! I'm not a fan of the pink color, but but the black looks fine to me. I am about to strip some badly damaged wrap and considered either painting or re-wrap. This stuff would likely cost less than paint and sandpaper. Bonus: a whole lot quicker.

It is VERY flexible, soft, stretchy stuff. Not at all stiff or hard. I probably wouldn't use it for a good kit, but for these orphans, it worked great.

Did you tape it or glue it?

Taped. If you have him cut it (for free), he puts adhesive just on the ends, with a peel-off strip covering it. He also provides grommets for free if you have him cut it.

Does the wrap lay flat on the shell with only tape? I'm a bit concerned about tape alone. This kit will be a beater for sure. Either gigged on Friday / Saturday events or put in my buddy's garage for practice.

Thanks

It did for me. I actually had repaired some damaged spots where a previous owner had removed wrap that was between the plys, and you can't tell looking at the drums.

Sorry for so many questions... Is it really as thick as a credit card?

Thx

Yes, but again, way more flexible.
