Anyone Else a Leedy fan Last viewed: 1 minute ago

My only experience is with L&L Broadway Standards. I own a 5.5x14 and 6.5x14.

I've been playing the 5.5 for the last week. Every time I put it on the stand, I think it's as fine as any snare in my collection, including 2 high-end Sonors and 3 RKs. I actually prefer the L&L to my RKs.

Incidentally, I'm looking to sell the 6.5. In case anyone reading this thread is interested, please pm me. It's about as close to mint as a 60 year old drum could be.

I've been dying to get into a Leedy kit...just haven't found the right one yet...or haven't had the dough at the right time.

Hey Sticks Wicks...are you the person that has been posting the Leedy kits for sale on the OC Craigslist? I recognize the one that you posted in this thread.

here's my 62'-64' (shells are stamped both inside) duco SlingerLeedy, a yardsale find, I put fiberskin heads on it to add to that worn-out look that the checking duco paint has, I have slingerland flatbase hardware for it and it came with some 60's A Zildjians, but I just threw it together in the office to take some pics for this board.

by the way I've never had a Broadway snare but this Shelly is avesome, chrome over brass is king!

Thanks, Stef. I almost can't believe it myself! This is the Leedy kit that I have been waiting/longing/hoping for! At least I'll get to set her up and play a little before I jump on that plane to Belgium!

P.S. I just called about your Trick lugs Drum Supply House is waiting on more of them from Trick to fill the order. I need to call back on Monday to see if they are going to be able to get them to me before I jump on that plane. I'll keep you updated.
