Anyone know who made these FT legs? Last viewed: 1 hour ago

The round badge kit I traded for just came in the mail, but it has a few parts the I'm not sure are Gretsch. These floor tom legs have no bend in them at all, and I don't recognize the top section either. They are about 2" longer than my other 60's Gretsch FT legs as well.

Anyone recognize these?

Slingerland, perhaps?

I suspected Slingerland as well, but I can't find any pics of old Slingerland legs with the rough top like these have. All the Slingy's are just plain chrome.

I just took a look at my straight cymbal legs on my 64 Slingerland floor tom and they are smooth. No grooves anywhere.

But my 72 Slingerland floor tom legs that are bent at the bottom have the exact same pattern at the top.

The 60's straight legs with that top are plentiful... Don't know when.. but from at least mid 60's forward..

While the upper knurled section, with groove, is definitely Slingerland, I've never seen straight legs that looked like this. I've got a 1967 Slingerland kit with 2 floor toms and both have straight smooth chrome legs. Not to say that Slingerland didn't make them, but I've just never seen them!

Forgot to ask...what's the length of the legs?

From memory.. I think they dropped the smooth legs along with the Push Button Mounts at the same time...

well I found an old eBay auction for a set with an identical top section, but the bottoms are flared and it says they're from 1974. I can't find a single picture of set that looks exactly like mine.
