I just picked up a 26x14. My first single tension drum, stamped 4601. With a large hole cut out for some kind of mount, ugh.

I like single tension drums. I have a Japanese kid's kit from the 60's with single tension 16" bass drum. It sounds wonderful! I also have an 11" brass single tension snare, free floating shell. Very nice sound! I think they're great!
