BOOM.
I am not a fan of FT's larger than 16", and I have trouble playing kicks over 22". That being said, if I was in the right band to warrant this kit, it would be on its way to my house right now!

Wow, badges are immaculate! Not my favorite Vistalite pattern, and a little overpiced IMO, but a cool kit for someone, somewhere!
Bermuda
Sweet set but as stated, a lil overpriced
I had some communication w the seller. i think there is a rail shown on the second bd in the picture above. pretty rare if it is real.
RCI??? Not Ludwig???
You know, it would really be nice if all of you drum manufacturing experts actually told the rest of us know-nothings why this isn't a Ludwig kit. I mean, if you are going to spend :30 of your precious time posting "this isnt a Ludwig", you might as well spend another :30 posting "this isn't a Ludwig because...".
Seriously.
RCI Starlight manufactures what could arguably be the best acrylic shells available.
Check out their site. Not only quality, but patterns and designs that Ludwig could not have accomodated.
That said, if you were to find a real Vistie kit that rode in the back of a pick-up truck without cases throughout it's life in the seasons of the Midwest (a veteran of 100's of Polka fests and Ice Cream socials ) you would be able to reclaim all the "shiny bits", purchase new shells in any color or pattern and Voila!
A "new" Vistalite.
Is it really? Well sort of, I guess.
I look at this like my pal's vintage Triumph Spitfire. While the chassis is original, pretty much every body panel was replaced over time.
Saved from the scrap yard, it still gets the thumbs up at the Malt shop and is a blast to drive.
Girls like it too...
