i live in a small one bedroom condo and of course I can't practice here. Does anyone have any ideas where I could find an inexpensive place to practice? Where do you guys go? Thanks.

I bought a used Yamaha dtxplorer a few years back to learn and review stuff, and frankly don't know why I didn't do that ages ago. If I need the real thing I'll book some time at one of the rehearsal places in town. If it's off peak hours and it's just me, I'll get a break on the regular rates.
Just need to look around. Downtown shops may have unused space above their store. Some storage lockers provide power...

I've seen that, unfortunately, even if I had the cash to invest in something so pricey, my girlfriend would never got for it. We have one bedroom and I'm pretty sure she wants that room for a bed and not a drum set, but thanks for sharing.
The Yamaha DTX works for me too .... as long as you don't use it exclusively.. Have even used it on occasion to run over song arrangements late night when the guys play the acoustic guitars...

If I move into a condo (downsizing late in life - not too far off) I do hope and pray I don't have this couple living above me haha
watch this - just some fun......but there is some truth to it from what I've been told ;)
