I would say a big YES! And I'm not talking about only vintage drums. After aquiring my first Trixon kit, I thought they were the coolest drums ever, but that was mainly because it was the first one I'd owned. After playing them around town, my fascination with them soon faded away. Fast forward to my latest Rogers kit....every time I find a new Rogers, I ask myself, why do I keep trying other companies? You just can't find anything better than Rogers.

Well they say the best constructed at the time. And they sound great. But Gretsch drums are more interesting to me in sound and looks. But yes Rogers are very very good.

Well, I say this from having owned and gigged with vintage Ludwig, Slingerland, Rogers, Gretsch, Premier and Trixon, not to mention a few modern kits. Rogers were built better, there is no doubt about that, sound on the other hand is subjective.
