Hello

I have a Ludwig drum kit, 5 pieces - bass, snare, three toms - the serial number indicates 1968, the finish is a dark red or maroon. The kit needs some work, but is mostly in decent shape. I am not a drummer, I am a keyboard player, but I inherited the kit. I would love for it to go to a good home if it is something that is desired but I know very little. Can anyone help me identify this kit and let me know if anyone might love it? I don't want to restore it if it is going to end up sad and lonely. Thanks!

Welcome carbonchick.

We really need a few photos to go on.

You can do some homework yourself by looking through the relevant sections of the vintage drum guide and seeing what looks similar.

Welcome It would be a big help if you could post some pics of your drums. It helps takes the guesswork out. Pics of the shells: inside and out, sizes also help.

Ok thanks - I will work on the pics - I am very confused by all of the information - I may be very mistaken by the serial number! I was told these were from the 1960s but I am thinking that may not be true. Stay tuned for pics.

I am still working on pics (camera bad) but from what I can tell from further research, these are ROCKERS - the badge is black/white. The bass drum is 22", the snare is 14 or 14.5. Thanks again for help...
