If you teach, what do you charge for a half hour private lesson?

It depends on where you are. I have taught in 2 different states, and teach in several cities in Utah where I currently live. I charge $20 per half hour in one city, and $15 in a city 1 hour away from that city.
I try to get a feel for what others in a given area are asking who have similar experience/qualifications and price accordingly. In my experience it is all about the market. I am totally full and wait-listed in the city where I charge 20, and have lots of openings where I am charging less...go figure. Hope that helps!
The guy at our local drum shop north of Pittsburgh, PA gets 20 bucks a half hour, once a week, and the entire month gets paid in advance.
I saw a CL article for Pookie or Boobie or something like that who teaches from Highland Park for a bit more money, thirty bucks per half hour I believe, but he is nationally known from what I have read.

Im just starting out teaching again after about 30 years.I,ve been playing all this time, but not teaching and this opportunity came up to teach "troubled youth"in a group home setting.I was asked to give them a good deal and i was happy to oblige..I thought 15/ half sounded fair...thx for the input.
I charge 20$ for half an hour , that would seem to be the going rate just about every where you go looking .

$25 for a half hour. I cut a deal for students buying lessons in bulk, though, so it works out to be about $20 a half hour for them. I usually teach 1 hour lessons. $40 an hour. A half hour goes by so fast...
