Batter head suggestions for Ludwig 6-ply 20x14? Last viewed: 1 day ago

Needing to replace the head, and getting dizzy looking at all that's available! I've got a Fiberskyn 3 as the reso and need the batter to have the thick 1/2" collar too. I took off the coated Am batter because the collar was thinner/low profile and wasn't co-operating with the hoop.

Thanks!

I really like the coated Remo PowerStroke 3 for a batter head.

Thanks Jerry, been looking at that that one. Also the Aquarian Super Kick & Remo Fiberskyns

So it turns out that I had a 20" tom head as the batter, Duh.

Cheers, Gerry

I put on an Aquarian American Vintage-medium and added a Remo falam-slam patch. I've never used Aquarian before, sounds good!

I've been wanting to try one of these. Can you tell me what kind of sound you want, and are getting out of this head? What type of music are you playing?
