I have a set of Baxters now thanks to member and friend Human 71 and they sound as good as any MIJ kit with the killer red diamond pearl wrap.Thanks dude. Good heads are everything.....

Awesome man !Glad it worked out for you.. Shells were obviously in good shape, and bearing edges protected with that aluminum tape made all the difference.. You planning to keep the wrap on ?

My first kit included Baxter toms. I bought them used in 1979, they were wrapped in black and yes, I too am in Ontario.

I made the rookie mistake of taking off the wrap and sanding/varnishing the cheap wood beneath. Still have them somewhere but the badges are long gone.
