Beavertail Reassembly Wisdom Needed Last viewed: 1 minute ago
Hey Thanks Jaye ~ encouraging as always & appreciated. flower
Although some folks said the "bare hands & screwdriver" method works for them, (i guess i'm not built for that) - while that may be common for b-tail experts, after my experience with them, I think that at the factory, there MuSt have been some plier-like tool to load the parts into to make assembly do-able for any worker that was on the line, not just the folks with giant hands, capable of brute force.
I wonder if there are many old-school Rogers factory workers - or other company people out there - with insight into such hypothetical tools and assembly methods. I know that later, they did away with the springs & felt altogether. Still, my other springed lugs are nowhere near as hefty.
If you ever do such a b-tail lug tear-down - you'll have to relate your experience here - maybe the ol' screwdriver alone will work just fine for you. - Me? I'm one of those "work smarter, not harder" dudes - plus I wanna keep my hands intact for playing music. band3
