HI,
I have been real busy at work so could someone please direct me to the good flame threads for my evening entertainment? I honestly don't have time to search all the threads lately.
Thanks!

Dan, this one is real good. Started by a very nice person as well.
Now that is service fellas! If either of you are in the New Orleans/Baton Rouge area, the swamp food is on me!
the entire thread has been removed, good !
Swamp food! Wow thanks, Dan you are a class act. Wish I was there, I would take you up on that. Swamp food, hmm, I think that what we had for dinner tonight, I think.
All kidding aside, I hope you checked out Matt's threads on drum art and bass drum art. I know I really enjoyed it. i mean every day you see the usual Rogers, Slingys, Luddys and so on but I really dig seeing those antique drums and the amazing artwork which is hand painted with precision and pride.

The thread was awesome! Looking at all those drums, in both threads actually, I was thinking I would like to possibly find an awesome artist and get a Clint Eastwood themed snare drum made. I would have it quartered with Gunny Highway, Filo Betto, Dirty Harry and Josie Wales on it. For the quotes, I want his best dirty harry quote, which is NOT go ahead, make my day, but rather the ultra-macho last spoken lines of Magnum Force, "A man's got to know his limitations".
And the classic Josie Wales quote "Dyin' ain't much of a livin', Boy"
I won't type out he Gunny Highway quote, but it is when they mustered, or "clustered" if you will...... and the Colonel asked him his opinion of the exercise.........
And of course, "Right turn, Clyde" when the ape lands a right cross on the Black Widow's.
Instant classic!
Those are cool ideas for a drum Dan, I am a C.E fan also. Too bad you dont have a cool snare with flames on it.

You mean like this? …
How did you know? Yes, that is the same flame pattern I was going to use on Dans Slingy snare. Now that I see how yours was done I wish I would have tried that approach. It would have been much easier then what I was trying to do. Dan had to settle for a simple stain and lacquer job, I hate it when I fail!
