It seems the drum head market is pretty consistent in terms of price. all the big boys are within pennies of each from what I can tell, I guess I'd like to know if anyone has a favorite place for new heads, with the best deals.

Musician friend seriously, now they are owned my Guitar center, MF Has discount coupons just type in Musicians friend discount coupons into a search engine then enter that code during check out. I have bought thousands of dollars of heads from them.

I have bought from Musicians Friend also and they have a great sevice. That is handy for guys that dont live near a store. But I have found my local music store sells the same heads for the same price as M.F. I ts nice to walk into a store and be known by name and also know you are supporting your local economy.

Gary,

If you find something on Musicians Friend that is cheaper than at GC. And you don't want to wait for shipping.

I just tell the people at GC give me the MF price. They have always done it for me.

X's 2 here. I use Evans heads and they were cheaper than the dealer prices my son gets from D'Addarrio. With the $99 free shiping deal it works out pretty well.
