Best way to indicate your gear on a 'persian'carpet Last viewed: 9 minutes ago

Hey everyone

Do you guys know how I best can indicate where my drums, stands, ... are placed. So I can put them exactly at the same places on the carpet, gig after gig ... ?

The indications may not be permanently. I must be able to "whipe them out" with no problems, when I want to.

i've used stage tape (gafers tape) for years. this is special sticky but removable tape used by roadies and techs on tour.

i use the same style carpet and i never had problems. once i roll out my rug it never takes me more than 15min to set up. i also use it on certain parts of my cymbal stands to mark those positions so i can set those up the same everytime.

in time it does dry out. i'm sure its hard to see in the pic, but i also tried not to use too much to distract from the rug.

+1 the best and cheapest way to roll.

Take note, Wayne Brown, that drummerfish is setting up in full lefty mode and accomplishing it using a virgin bass. No factory decisions in that.

Nice looking set and set-up drummerfish!

Dan Boucher,it went past my eyes yet once again as i`m just not accustomed to seeing lefty set-ups from other guys, and i assume they are always a righty configuration when viewing the pic, so my eyes just pass it by...

drummerfish, that is one beautiful sight to my lefty eyes and you are,as Dan mentioned, a true lefty. I`m lefty below and righty up top and it`s so interesting to see the non conventional set-ups.Thanks for posting this beautiful Ludwig silver sparkle set and especially in the lefty style.
