once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

While we were stuffing our faces you hit gold. Jealous! Any sense as to the writing on the label for the 19685 drum?

I'd go to your gig just to SEE those things let alone hear them... ;)

Oh wow! Congratulations!

That is an absolutely beautiful finish.

Count me in as someone who would replace the lugs if for no other reason than preventing heartache.

I've dealt with Jim Petty in the past and the guy is SUPER awesome. GREAT guy to deal with for sure.

Good luck with the kit...it's gorgeous.

Thanks all for the kind words.

If anyone is in Southern California check out my old school country band Three Chord Justice. I use only vintage drums & will be adding this kit to the rotation. These were not gotten from any forum member. I have been fortunate to find a collector somewhat local to me who is a great guy & just as crazy about vintage kits as me & we have become friends over the last almost 2 years. I attached some pics of the previous 2 kits I bought from him & both are MINT.

And there is more coming..Cool1

As for the lugs, no cracks & I am not a guy who tunes drums way high so we shall see how these do when I play them live.

Stay tuned for a really rare set!
