Big R Rogers Dyna-sonic Snare Questions! Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Loading...

How much is a 6.5" Big R COB Dynasonic snare (assuming it's in good condition) worth? I don't actually know much about the Dynasonics, I'm pretty young and have only been in the vintage arena for a couple years, and I've spent almost all my time with Ludwigs. Is this a good era for Rogers? Any common issues, etc.? How do they compare to Ludwig's COB's?

Thanks,

Ben Thompson

The Big R Dynas were made starting in 75-76 I believe. Chrome over Brass, very desirable drum.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

6.5 drums regularly sell for 350-500, even in this economy. Including Big R versions. Seven Lines from 61-67 slightly more, or much more, depending on condition. It is a very desireable drum. Find Tommy P's Dynasonic guide, it is extremely valuable.

Judging simply by looks, the wood Powertone seems similar to the old Ludwig Pioneer. Is this true?
