Big/Flat Imperial Lugs and Kits Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Loading...

I am building a vintage kit with large Ludwig Imperial lugs for BD and flat imperials for Clubdate style toms.

Does anyone have pics of kits that had these lugs on them? Or any info. on what kits and sizes would have been offered with these lugs.

I would like to get this one period correct. Or real close.

Single flange rims for toms with clips.

Nickel everything.

Looking into the Vintage shells from Keller.

Any help/ideas/thoughts appreciated.

Thanks

Why not simply buy a vintage kit with those parts on them? After you buy the Keller vintage shells (which are expensive) Imperials, single flange hoops, spurs, leg mounts, tom mounts, clips etc. it will cost about the same as an original kit from the period. Don't get me wrong, I think it's an excellent project, just that an original is going to cost about the same amount, only - without all the grief. Plus it'll have the cache' of being 'the real thing!'

Sounds good. I will look for one.

But.........I think I might like the grief.

Mine is going to be slightly hi-brid.

Thanks PS
