Mr. Drummerfish, Thanks for the KC story. Got any more Blaemire tales?

Was that a drum shop where that kit was being worked on?

Thanks SA

no, that's the only time had them in my hands, or even seen them at the vintage drum show. it was a music store that my old boss owned a few years later. all i have is a signed head by richard thanking for the restore.

i have a friend who i believe has some shells. they might be eames too which i also never seen. i've emailed him but he hasn't gotten back to me yet.

Thanks man, looks like she had those concert tom Blaemire shells wrapped for the TV show and to keep her Ludwig endorsement. The pic by drummerfish shows them in the raw amber/ green (first generation Blae) color. But the rolling stands are the give away. The same stands she first saw and played on Hal Blaine's kit in the studio.

She used the same kind of stands as used on Hal's kit.

There were a lot of Blaemire snares being secretly used by drummers with endorsements from the BIG companies. Louie Bellson had one disguised as a Slingerland. Also heard that the LA Philharmonic used Blaemire snares.

Ringo's kit was a gift from George Harrison. That kit came out the Pro Drum Shop in Hollywood. Stan (Pro Drum) says it cost more to ship the kit than to build it. They have a picture of George sitting at the kit after assemblage.

That one used to be on the West wall.

I actually watched that Carpenters special when I was a kid. I had just started to play. I thought that drum solo segment was the coolest thing ever.

It has, but I still love watching it. You can definitely tell those are Blaemires. The thing is, Blaemires sound even better now with all the modern heads that are out now.;)
