I've only run across that finish a couple of times through the years and both times it was on a Pioneer snare drum. It's very cool in person with those little gold flecks in the finish that don't really come across in photos.

I think the last one I saw was on a drum that they wanted $100 for and I was like "a hundred bucks for a Pioneer...yeah right". This was many years ago. I went to the same store a year later and it was still there...and I pondered it some more...and passed on it again. It wasn't there the next time.

Here is a shot of a another Club Date kit in this finish. I think this kit was at Revival Drum Shop according to my notes. Also attached is a catalog shot from the '64 Ludwig catalog of a "Traveler" kit.
