Brought something new home last night! Rogers Red Onyx Last viewed: 3 hours ago

It was at the Flint Michigan GC but now at the Raleigh one. I would avoid it unless you want a project and they discount it.

Dan,

I hope to get to them this weekend. BTW, do you have any recommendations for safely removing the BD hoop inlay tacks? I would really like to reuse them if at all possible. I will post some pictures as I go.

Thanks,Randy

Awesome!

I rescued this 1970 Powertone 22/12/13/16 from certain death a month or so ago. Was a ton of work (and has a couple of wrap splits that are hard to see set up). Replaced one hoop inlay...lots and lots of cleaning and a little reso edge work. It is AWESOME now! Stoked to see yours all cleaned up!

Congrats man! Those are bad ass!! I love me some Rogers drums as well. I had a 66 WMP kit last year I sold to get that COB Transition Badge. I still have a 66 Powertone Silver Sparkle. I LOVE it!

Nice work on those drums thisbright14. They are stunning.

On the inlay randy 73, if you have the tiny tacks, take a very small screwdriver and very, very gently and slowly pry up the tack to release the ends of the inlay. Then equally slowly use a slightly wide screwdriver to free the adhesive at the interface of the hoop and back side of the inlay. Be patient!

Mark, Thanks for the compliment!

Dan, Thanks for the tip and I'll try it tomorrow. Sounds pretty similar to removing staples. PATIENCE I guess!

I started a new thread in the restoration section for these. Check it out!
