Everything mentioned is true about this recording. I have the actual

16" Vitaphone disc, #949 in my collection. It's a strange playing record since you start the play from the inside to the outside of the record. In the run off area it is etched, Buddy Traps. Again it is 16" in diameter and yes, I have the ability to play it!

These records had to be returned to Vitaphone after a certain amount of time due to steel needles wearing the groove down. If the theater didn't return them, they were charged a whooping $5.00 for the record (BIG money in 1929/30). After it's return, either the record was destroyed or stored. Hence, the rarety of the actual disc. The only thing available in the form of the film is a still which I have from the short, titled, "Sound Effects". Recorded in 1929, released in 1930.
