I particularly like Giant Steps. Buddy Rich trading fours with Lionel Hampton--what could be better? The tunes are pretty cookin'. This is one of those CDs that I whet the palette of students who want to "ease into" jazz. Very user-friendly.

I haven't heard every BR record, but I've heard many of them, and my favorite is Keep the Customer Satisfied. Good arrangements, performances, and recording quality.
