This item number 232240650542 is at $6,000 usd.

Time left to snap them up!

Nice drums if they're what you're looking for.....and not many out there. The do come up for sale now and then and from what I've seen they can fetch $13K and more.

These drums have been re-plated so I'm a little surprised at the high bidding so far. They are nice though.

The starting price was $5

That snare is really pretty, although I'm not so sure about that heater vent.

Sold for $6k, pretty darn good given the current market. I think the combo of the caddy green finish and rare lug set up on the snare helped. Perhaps the idea of owning a caddy green "kit" for less than $10k was also particularly attractive.

I wasn't surprised at the $6K selling price. If the buyer has an original 8.12 tom and 14 floor tom - then.....that would make for a fine Cadi Green kit.

I have an original orphaned 9x13 Cadi Green tom. I do use the it and I'm happy to have it. They're relatively rare and are a fine part of Gretsch drum history.

My drum pictured here - Dec 2011 a few days after I won the eBay auction.

Someone had painted over the gold plated hardware. I contacted the eBay seller and he couldn't tell me if the hardware was original and he had no history on the drum other than he picked it up at an estate sale. When I received the drum I took it to a local joowllery (Forum police won't accept the proper spelling) store and found that the hardware - under the gold spray paint - was indeed gold plated.....the original hardware.

The first photo shows the drum how I received it - with the gold spray paint. The rest of the photos show how the hardware cleaned up - I used a soft cloth and Acetone.
