Calling All Ludwig Help!! Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Found this ad on my local CL and I can't identify what kinda Ludwig snare this is based on the crummy pictures the seller posted. Is anybody able to identify the snare based on the pictures posted?

http://cleveland.craigslist.org/msg/5922902050.html

Update time!

The seller finally replied to me (I texted him yesterday) and sent me a few more pictures. It looks like a steel student snare drum. $100 is too high, but say I was able to get it for like $50 and put some new heads on it/make it look nice, would there be any room to flip it and make a couple bucks? These snares don't seem to go for very much.

Opinions?

Luke

On the interior, I think that I can see the inside of the bead in the center of the shell. Looks like a light colored interior (Ludaloy). Seems to be 8 lugs. My guess is a Blue Olive badge Acrolite. Probably round corner model but maybe pointed.

Edit-disregard the above after seeing the pics.

Hi Mike!

Looks like you posted the same time I edited my original post, that's some good timing! LoLoLoLo

Thanks for the post though. I wish it was an Acrolite!

There's a steel drum like this on ebay listed at $59.99 right now. I'm pretty sure it's an import. I bet it sounds good though.

Might sound okay but it has those Gretsch style generic lugs on it...which is a deal beaker for me on a Ludwig drum. Imported beginner grade student drum. Not worthless, but not worth a lot either. I'd hold out for an acrolite.

K.O. and Mo Tonkie!

Thank you guys for the replies, doesn't seem like there's too much room for a flip with that, so I'll pass (and hold out for an Acrolite :) )
