Camco help Last viewed: 1 hour ago

I dug out my first drum set that has been in storage forever. Thank God i never decided to hock it. Its shabby but gonna start working on it. I have been looking around the web to find info on it, and need help with confirmation. Heres the description. Camco / Oak Lawn Illinois USA cloud badges, Black (charcoal) moire wrap shells ( snare/tom/floor/bass),white inside the shells. Has the centered lugs ( not round).

Just want to make sure its original, and not a frankenset as most pics ive seen are the round lugs.

The GOOD : All shells and wrap intact, no warping, edges are all in good shape, no cracks, dampeners are felted. Have original drum pedal too

The bad: I need bottom hoops and hardware for toms, bass needs hoop and hardware, Need legs for floor tom and i need the cymbal attachment for bass drum. Has original front head with logo, but was used as batter head so it has the marks.

Got this as my first set on Xmas morning when i was 6 in 1983.(playing PDP drums now). I think my parents got it dirt cheap from a thrift or used music store ( Rays Music Emporium??? haha). Hell, it still has the clear/ black dot Remo heads on them. i never changed the heads.

Anyhow I wanted to post and make sure what i have is real. Im asuming its the early 60s tuxedo kit. Thoughts? value ( to me priceless and will NEVER sell)

sizes and pix? Charcoal moire is pretty unusual so score there. Rims and other hardware are getable but expensive if they're the early cast rims (and if so they would date these as probably pre-67 or thereabouts). You'll also need considerable patience.

It sounds like the real deal - I'd reserve judgement on value until I can see exactly what's there and what's not.
