I have heard both sides of the value argument. My two cents are that the new "vintage" series of all the top brands will take a dent in the vintage market. Why is that? I believe (my opinion only) that the younger cats and up and coming drummers will want more the look with modern Q.C. plus getting it in nearly any finish they want.
Now for the people who dig vintage drums this is not a bad thing. Just means we can all get what we want at a much nicer price point. I suppose that is why I just keep my collection down to a few kits now. I even sold off some of my favorite snares. Although to be honest snares tend to come around quite often.
Anyway I cleaned up the Camco set and played it. In fact my drum students can chose any kit to use in my room and for some reason they dig the Camco.
