Camco Oaklawns arrive safe and sound! Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Loading...

I was quite concerned shipping these back home, however they have arrive safe and sound. This is perhaps the cleanest set I have EVER laid my eyes on. The 14" was added later and is an LA era drum and the rest are Oaklawn. The snare had a Gretsch tone control added in favor of the original, besides that, wow, an incredible set of drums.

The bass drum is in fact a 14"X24" 8 lug per side drum.

More photos once I get some new heads on and set them up.

Really nice enjoy them!! The Camco club is a very special group! That first membership fee must be a doozey!! Kidding. I really like the natural finish. Sweet and blonde!! Have fun and yes more pics when you have the chance.

Glenn.

That second photo really speaks for Camco quality. The lugs on my Geo. Way kit (pre-Camco) are made of brass and they weigh a ton! I know they continued using the brass ones for the Oaklawn era, but I wonder when they switched over? LA era?

Anyway, that hardware close-up shows the quality of the individual components. They all add up to one great sounding set of drums.
