Hello everyone! I hope you are all well. My friend bought this snare at a yard sale about twelve years ago for like a dollar and gave it to me. When I received it the only identifying mark was on the actual snares and it said Gretsch. The torn head seemed to be made of real skin and the the ring of it wooden. (leading me to believe it was fairly old) One time, at a show, another drummer came up to me all excited asking if my snare was a 1940's Gretsch. I have searched and searched and cannot seem to identify it. It would be fantastic if someone could help me out. Thanks in advance... here are some pictures.
