Can anyone help me recognize this? Last viewed: 6 hours ago

First of all hi everyone it's my first post in these forums Walking

I bought an old 4pc kit for 150$, it was advertised as an 80's pearl export.

Since I'm on a tight budget and the first kit I learned to play on when I was 10 years old was a white export that looked really similar, I just got a little sentimental and bought it without thinking too much.

The condition is kind of okay, and the it sound pretty good to me.

Can you please lend me your expertise and validate the authenticity of these? If anyone has more info about this kit i'll be glad

I've added some pics, if anything more is needed I'll happily provide.

Thanks a lot!

There is a non USA drums forum where you would get better answers. Badge looks like 80-83.

Looks like luan inside. I'd guess it would be a lower line kit. I don't think they used the Export name then. Different name, but just the same. Look at the 82 catalog:

Wanted: Pearl President floor tom in Golden Grain wrap and rack tom in Tiger Eye (root beer) wrap.

Your kit is not a Pearl export series, but it is a low budget kit. The lugs indicate a very short lived beginner series called the Pearl International Series from around 1985. I even remember that "flyer" when i was in highschool ! ;)

These apparently didn't even make the regular catalogs and were only advertised with

Pearl "flyers". Here's an example from one of those on ebay.
