Hey just wondering if anyone can advise if these drums could be worth the couple hundred they are asking
Can anyone tell me if these drums are worth it Last viewed: 2 hours ago
I think the cymbals will define the value of that 'deal', but let's see what others say...
Red Ripple '70's Yamaha D-20 20b-12-14f
Piano Black Yamaha Recording Custom Be-Bop kit 18b-10-14f
Snares:
Yamaha COS SDM5; Yamaha Cobalt Blue RC 5-1/2x14; Gretsch round badge WMP; 1972 Ludwig Acrolite; 1978 Ludwig Super Sensitive; Cobalt Blue one-off Montineri; Yamaha Musashi 6.5X13 Oak; cheap 3.5X13 brass piccolo
Yes the Symbols will play a part in the deal.
Thanks to Mr. Jerry Jenkins
The cymbals looked pretty no name.. unfortunately the seller is not replying to me with any real info.. So if the cymbals are not anything good the drums themselves would not be worth the $250?
Speaking as a MIJ collector, I'd say the price was a little steep. Looks like a junior kit - that kick drum looks tiny, (18"?). Also shallow looking tom... and the floor tom, though similar finish, is not of the corresponding single lug variety - probably an ad-on to a three piece, junior kit, and 16" would probably look odd with rest of kit. Nice if it had original snare drum. And what's with the duct tape on the t-rods? Put on your watch list maybe, see if the price comes down. I'd say; $150.00, TOPS - even if those little cymbals turn out to be something. :2Cents:

They are blocks of foam. Probably the T-rods were playing their own tune.
Well thanks good to know.. Wasn't look to score some awesome set but just something cheap and cool.. Maybe I will email and offer them $150 see if they'll take it.
At 150.oo that would be a good price. The set is from the 60's M.I.J. the set is a kid's set with a 18" bass drum the mounted tom looks to be a 7"x12" in size you are missing the tom mount arm that would be at the mount at the back of the bass drum the first mount-the round one- is for a cymbal rod..The snare would have been a 4x13 snare that would have match the set..
The floor tom is added to the set.Still a cool little set is get...Mikey
The snare is a pearl forum and it's a terrible snare hard to tune always buzzing and the throw off on them is pure junk , The cymbals will determine the value .
1979 12 pc ludwig power factory
Foam blocks, crap snare and questionable kit. I'd pass and keep looking. Deals are out there.
