Can someone tell me what brand of drum set this is? Last viewed: 1 second ago

Can someone help a non-drummer on what brand drumset this is (see attached)? I know it is a vintage set, but not sure if it is a Pearl for sure. There are no other identifiers on the set except for "made in Japan" on a metal label on the side. There is nothing printed on the inside of the drum either. I would appreciate any kind of knowledge you can share.

Way too far away for me to tell anything except it`s a 4 piece kit. Closer pic`s of lugs, hoops, mounts, badge,...are needed.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

Looks like a Star kit.

www.star-drums.de

If you search Star drums in the Non-USA kits section of the forum you can learn a lot about them.

Most Star kits have...."finest quality"...."best quality"....or the word quality on them.

Judging by the hardware, metal hoops, and the fact that they say "made in Japan",

I'm going to say import Japanese made vintage drums.. Some are of decent quality, and when tuned properly, can sound as good as any American made drum kit..It looks like it's a wood finish, and if it is, then they were probably stripped of their original wrap, and then stained..

Photos are too small, but looks like an aged gold sparkle to me. Definitely a "stencil" kit though

Here are some more detailed smaller photos if this helps. Having some issues with the size of the photo being accepted by website so I had to make them small. Thanks so much for all of the responses so far.

Those T-rods say Star or Stewart.. Bass drum pedal is definitely 70's Pearl..

I looked up stencil kits on the web since I had no idea what one was and found Reverb website that actually showed the same "Made in Japan" stamp that my set has so it is a japanese stencil kit. Who knew?! Great news! Thanks so much again for your info and taking the time to help me figure it out. I have learned so much about drums along the way, so now I am not totally clueless anymore, just semi-clueless.
