This came to me with a bunch of gear from a school closet. I'm thinking Latin percussion maybe? Not exactly sure...It's a Gibraltar piece, and has a tubular tripod bottom. Any one familiar with this type of stand? Thank You.

its a bongo stand. the center of the bongos goes into the slot, then you tighten it down into place.
its a older version but they make a few different versions of it.
