From Wayne Brown

This is my very favourite color-such a rich beautiful finish.Fantastic condition yours are in too.I can think of Roy Burns and Ginger Baker that used this color.Wayne

Ginger used silver sparkle. Michael Shrieve's Ludwig set at Woodstock was champagne.

Michael Shrieve had his up for sale at one point a couple of years ago for $350 thousand. I wonder if anyone bought them.

Here are my 1968 Champagnes again. I sharpened the pic up a little. This would be one of the last sets to go if I ever decide to clear out my kits. Think there worth $3000 ? I am working on a deal to get 3 more drums including another nice 14"x14". Are Champagne's the classiest of class. What is considered the classiest of all wraps or finishes? The cream of the crop.

Interesting info on the Michael Shrieve drum kit sale and i wonder who got that historic kit? Your 1968 Pink Champagne kit is the most wonderful of all finishes and i don`t blame you for hanging onto them as long as you can.Build that kit up with the 3 drums if you can-well worth the $ and enjoyment of how they light up under stage lighting.Precious finish for sure...and yes $3,000 is a fair price and maybe a little more.
