If I'm ever lucky enough to afford another vintage drum those 20s 30s old brass Ludwigs are about top of the list.

Those are fantastic shells. I've never played a Super-Ludwig, but I do have 4 or 5 20-30's 2 piece shells that sound amazing. I would assume my drums are the exact same shell as the Super-Ludwig. I record them all and without a doubt, they are very special sounding instruments.

I've brought in quite a few drums from America to New Zealand and if they are packed well (sometime they have got away without even being packed well) they have always arrived unscathed. Nothing this precious though admittedly.
