CL score that no one wanted Last viewed: 8 hours ago

Picked these up yesterday.

These were sitting on the local SD CL for a couple months. I couldn't stand it any longer as I had no 24" kick since I sold the mahogany kit last year. Call it sellers remorse. These are nicer anyway and I got them pretty cheap. Part of a 1978 Rock Power outfit I'm guessing. I did not want the 12x15 tom as it was huge & I would never use it. Made an offer and just got the 24/14/18. All new heads as well. These are in fantastic shape & the grain is beautiful. Just needs a good cleaning. I'm 3rd owner apparently.

Got what you wanted and sounds like a price that worked for you. Works for me (or you actually.....) Congrats.

I sold a kit like that 30 years ago with full set of cymbals and hardware for 500.00. As you would guess, I miss them. I have some stain that matches that thermogloss finish, would like to try it out some day.

Nice score!

Thank you!

Seller's remorse is a terrible thing which I constantly suffer from. My two biggest drumming-related areas of remorse are selling a lovely 1970s Black Beauty snare and worse, selling my very first kit which was a beautiful pale blue marine pearl Premier 'Louie Bellson' kit which I P/X'ed for a ghastly white Yamaha kit that (for reasons that I cannot entirely recall) I fell in love with. I was going through a 'Neil Peart' phase then and wanted concert toms or something equally arbitrary. Sad

"If 'A' equals 'success' in life then 'A' equals 'X' plus 'Y' plus 'Z' where work equals 'X', 'Y' is play and 'Z' is keeping your mouth shut" - Albert Einstein.

1920s 14"x5" Ludwig Super Sensitive Dual Snare
1957 6 1/2" x15" Slingerland WMP Concert King
1938 8"x15" Leedy Broadway Standard
1947-53 14x6.5" NOB Ludwig & Ludwig Universal
...plus a bunch of mismatched Slingerlands that collectively make a pleasing noise.
