From what I can see she carries quality stuff, from vintage to boutique American and European and it always seems to be in very good to excellent condition, she is on the high end price wise, but I have heard that she accurately describes what she is selling and the service is top notch. As far as the slings not getting a bid, right now I hear you can get a used D.W. for around the thousand mark, and other quality kits from that time frame.

I'd still take the newer used Slingerlands over a DW kit any day. Better vibe for me and my favorite drummer, Mat Abbs plays the Gibson era Slingerlands.
I saw that kit last night when I got home. That is one clean kit, very nice, but at that price, I agree with everyone that there are so many other kits to choose from.

Gibson still owns Slingerland. I have to say that if I were to buy a new, modern kit, the Slingerland would have to be among my list to check in to. They are clean looking, have some decent looking hardware, and I can't help but think with Gibson backing the project that they would at least have some quality to them, both in roadworthiness and sound.

Didn't Gibson make Slingerland in a piano factory in Arkansas? And because of Gibson's financial situation (The CEO said Gibson was a national treasure and should be bailed out) they stopped making Slingerland drums. I got all of this from a trade magazine somewhere.

Active site...as far as I can tell, they are still selling drums.
